Even thought the election is over, interest in Sarah Palin has not.
Sarah Palin continues to dominate search engine queries and online video sites.
There is only one American politician who continues to generate similar traffic on the internet.
That politician is Barack Obama.
Sarah Palin now ranks 4th, just one spot below Barack Obama, on the weekly Lycos 50 list.
A recent YouTube clip that featured her being interviewed while a turkey was slaughtered in the background was YouTube's most viewed clip last week. Palin did not know the turkey was being slaughtered behind her, but most viewers didn't seem to make that distinction.
So why has Sarah Palin remained so interesting for the public?
Interest in John McCain has dropped off the map, so why has that not happened to Palin?
Well, there was just something about Sarah Palin that seemed to capture the imagination of the public. It seemed that almost everyone either loved her or hated her. She truly was one of the most polarizing figures in recent political history.
So will interest in Sarah Palin continue as the months pass by?
But we can't have dissent. The U.S. government takes new steps almost daily to ensure that.
The U.S. State Department has actually announced plans to promote "online youth groups" as a new and powerful way to fight crime, political oppression and terrorism.
So soon we will have little brigades of "youth spies" running around reporting on their classmates, parents and neighbors.
*A leading Russian analyst has said that the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long held view that the U.S. is heading for a collapse, and he predicts that it will break up into multiple parts.
*President-elect Barack Obama said on Saturday that he would pursue a far more ambitious plan of spending and tax cuts than anything he outlined on the campaign trail. Is anyone actually surprised? Where will all of this money come from?
So That Is What The Bailout Money Is For.....
*General Motors plans to invest $1 Billion in Brazil, and apparently the money for this is to come from the big bailout the U.S. government is supposed to give G.M.
Even More Insiders? Is This "Change"?
Barack Obama has brought even more insiders into his new administration.
*One university in Canada has hired student spies to listen to the conversations of their fellow students and to step in when they overhear homophobic slurs, remarks bashing women or racially tinged insults, along with any other language that could be deemed offensive.
You would think that the American people would know some basic facts such as which party controls Congress.
You will be absolutely shocked by the ignorance of the American voters in the video.

All of the major news outlets are buzzing about the prospect that Senator Hillary Clinton is about to be selected by Barack Obama as the next Secretary of State of the United States.
CNN is reporting that Clinton had flown to Chicago and has met with Obama to discuss her future.
So is this change?
First Obama selects Joe Biden, who has decades of experience of being an establishment insider, for the number two position. Now he is about to select Hillary Clinton for the number three position in the government?
These selections just scream "more of the same!"
It is interesting to note that Hillary Clinton has close ties to the Council on Foreign Relations, which has produced every single Secretary of State since the 50s. In fact, almost all of the potential cabinet selections that are being floated by the Obama people either are members of the CFR or are closely tied to that organization.
So if Barack Obama keeps brining in establishment hacks and former members of the Clinton administration, what kind of "change" is that supposed to represent?
Vice President-elect Joe Biden has now appointed former Clinton administration aide Ran Klain as his chief of staff.
This comes one week after President-elect Barack Obama tapped Clinton aide Rahm Emanuel to head the White House as chief of staff.
The only way this new administration could be more "Clintonized" is if Hillary Clinton had been elected herself.
So is this change?
It sure seems to look like a lot more of the same Washington garbage that we have seen before.
Optimism is reigning in America even in the midst of the worst economic turmoil in a generation. Seventy percent of Americans believe that Barack Obama and his administration will be able to fix the U.S. economy. It has been a long time since Americans have been so optimistic about the financial future of the nation.
So can the financial system be revived? Will the "Wall Street bailout" work?
Well, it turns out the the "Wall Street bailout" that McCain and Obama both supported is going to be a lot more expensive than the media originally told us. The truth is that the "bailout" is really costing taxpayers a lot more than 700 billion dollars.
So where is all of this money for the "bailout" going to come from?
Mr. and Mrs. American taxpayer.
But will Mr. and Mrs. American taxpayer even have jobs to pay for all of this?
Circuit City just announced that they are failing. DHL is closing down U.S. operations. But even more troubling is what is happening to General Motors.
It seems like everyone is asking for a bailout now. Lobbyists are swarming the U.S. Treasury looking for a piece of the big "bailout pie". It is not just Wall Street now - almost every major industry is clamoring for some bailout money.
The truth is that Barack Obama (or anyone else for that matter) could not fix the U.S. economy even if he was Superman, Batman and Spiderman all rolled into one.

This next chart shows the insane amount of money U.S. banks have had to borrow from the Federal Reserve just to stay afloat. Even with all of this extreme borrowing, 19 U.S. banking chains have already failed this year.
This last chart shows the growth of the U.S. national debt over the years. Imagine if your own personal borrowing looked like this.....
But this chart is slightly out of date - the federal government of the United States is now over 10 TRILLION dollars in debt.

How would you feel if you discovered that your parents had run up a million dollars on a credit card in your name, and now you had to make interest payments on that credit card for the rest of your life?
Well, the current generation of Americans has racked up a 10 trillion dollar credit card bill that it will be passing on to future generations.
America's children and grandchildren will be working their entire lives to pay interest on this ridiculous debt. Their labor will go into serving the owners of this debt, and there is no escape.
America has had the greatest party in the history of the world and it has fueled this party on massive amounts of debt, but there is really bad news.....
The party is ending.
The biggest debt bubble in the history of the world is beginning to burst.
Once upon a time, the United States was the biggest creditor in the world. But those days are long gone. Now America is the biggest debtor nation to ever exist on the earth.
America was the wealthiest nation in the world, but that was never enough. Americans always had to have a bigger car, a bigger house and an endless supply of "stuff". So the American government piled up debt, American companies gorged on debt, and Americans made using credit cards into a national pastime.
And if you include the future liabilities that America's government has committed to such as future Social Security and Medicare payments, then the total debt of the federal government is over 59 TRILLION dollars.
59 TRILLION dollars!
Do we find that Americans are learning their lesson?
Not at all.
Instead Americans are squeezing everything they possibly can out of their credit cards. Total credit card debt in America is now over 800 billion dollars, and it is increasing at a rate which is four times faster than earlier this decade.
Instead of showing restraint, Americans have jammed the accelerator to the floor.
Prices are increasing dramatically while wages are not. Jobs are being outsourced and factories are being closed. America's largest banks and financial institutions are teetering on the brink of failure. Homes are being foreclosed at record rates. Personal bankruptcies recently hit an all time high.
So what is the answer that Obama is giving to America?
Spending even more money and getting us into even more debt.
It is time to face the truth.
The American Dream has gone "bye bye" and Obama is not going to bring it back.
Barack Obama's new chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, is the coauthor of a book that calls for, among other things, compulsory national service for all Americans ages 18 to 25.
The following quotes are from pages 61-62 of the book Emanuel coauthored in 2006 entitled "The Plan: Big Ideas for America":
It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service. ...
Here's how it would work. Young people will know that between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service. They'll be asked to report for three months of basic civil defense training in their state or community, where they will learn what to do in the event of biochemical, nuclear or conventional attack; how to assist others in an evacuation; how to respond when a levee breaks or we're hit by a natural disaster. These young people will be available to address their communities' most pressing needs.
The frightening thing is that it looks like some of Emanuel's ideas are already being implemented in the new administration.
The official website of President-Elect Obama, Change.gov, originally announced that Obama would soon "require" that all students in middle school all the way through college would be forced to participate in community service programs.
Fortunately, the internet exploded with outrage, and the website's wording was quickly softened.
But before the change, this is what Obama's website said about this program: "Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year."
I think that we have had enough of "Patriot acts" and I know that most Americans do not want to be part of any kind of a draft.
How many of you would willingly submit to mandatory national service under either George W. Bush or Barack Obama?
The internet is buzzing with the prospect that Barack Obama may ask Al Gore to become part of his cabinet.
While some activists are pushing for Al Gore to be appointed head of the Environmental Protection Agency, others are giddy over the idea that Al Gore could become the first "climate change czar" that Barack Obama has dropped hints about creating.
Obama made it quite clear during his acceptance speech on Tuesday night that he views climate change as a serious problem:
"For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime -- two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century."
However, earlier this year Al Gore seemed to rule out a role in an Obama administration:
“I don’t intend to be a part of any administration,” he revealed during an interview with the Sun, “I’ve been Vice President, I ran for President twice, so I don’t have any interest in being a cabinet member."
But things tend to change once an election is over. With this being such a historic moment in American history, and with the perfect cabinet position possibly being tailor designed for him, could Al Gore resist such a perfect opportunity to make the changes that he desires to see brought about in the world?
*Rumors are circulating in the news media that Barack Obama is assembling a "cabinet of stars" that could include Senator John Kerry as Secretary of State, Colin Powell as Secretary of Defense, Caroline Kennedy as Ambassador to the United Nations, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as chief of the Environmental Protection Agency.
*This next story is a bit crazy, but it is apparently true - among the voters who have shown up to vote at Shoesmith Elementary School this morning, where Barack Obama will vote today, are these two friends of Obama: Louis Farrakhan and William Ayers.
Long before Sarah Palin was governor of Alaska, she was a sportscaster.
Come to think of it, is it fair that any one person has had so many cool jobs in one lifetime - beauty queen, mayor, governor, sportscaster and now possibly vice president of the United States?
It just doesn't seem fair.

Vote flipping and vote fraud has been documented by voters in 9 different states with early voting. The overwhelming number of reports of vote flipping have come from voters trying to vote for Barack Obama.
Could this actually be happening in America in 2008?
With only two days until the election, Barack Obama appears to be a lock to win the election.
Electoral-vote.com has Obama with 364 electoral votes and McCain with only 171. But massive, widespread vote flipping and vote fraud could still steal this election from Barack Obama.
Vote flipping in the 2008 election was first reported in West Virginia.
The Charleston Gazette is reporting that at least three early voters in West Virginia are testifying that they tried to vote for Barack Obama, but the electronic voting machine switched their votes to John McCain.
West Virginia voter Virginia Matheney stated this about her attempt to vote for Barack Obama: "When I touched the screen for Barack Obama, the check mark moved from his box to the box indicating a vote for John McCain."
What 81 year old Calvin Thomas told the Gazette is even more troubling: "When I pushed Obama, it jumped to McCain. When I went down to governor's office and punched [Gov. Joe] Manchin, it went to the other dude. When I went to Karen Facemyer [the incumbent Republican state senator], I pushed the Democrat, but it jumped again."
Rather than fade away, reports of vote flipping in West Virginia became more prevalent.
Voters in Jackson, Putnam, Berkeley, Ohio, Monongalia and Greenbrier counties, all using ES&S iVotronic voting machines, are reporting that when they voted for one candididate the machine selected a different one.
West Virginia is not alone. Daily Kos is reporting that hundreds of votes for Obama in North Carolina are not being counted because of confusion over the ballot.
Vote flipping has also been reported in Davidson County, Tennessee. The following is the testimony of one voter:
"A poll worker directed me to a touch screen voting machine & instructedme how t o use it. I touched "Obama" for president & nothing lit up. I touched 2 or 3 more times & still nothing lit up. I called the poll worker back over to tell him I was having a problem. He said I just needed to touch it more lightly. I tried it 2 or 3 more times more lightly with the poll worker watching & still nothing lit up. The poll worker then touched it for me twice — nothing lit up. The third time he touched the Obama button, the Cynthia McKinney space lit up! The McKinney button was located five rows below the Obama button. The poll worker just kind of laughed and cancelled the vote. He hit the Obama button again & it finally lit up. I continued on to cast the rest of my votes. After completing the process & reviewing my votes, I went to the VOTE page, hit the VOTE button & nothing happened. Again after several tries, I called the poll worker over & he finally got the machine to register my votes. Hurray — I voted! — or did I? I left the polling place feeling uncertain."
Even Oprah Winfrey is reporting that the electronic voting machine did not record her vote for Obama on the first try:
"When I voted yesterday electronically, the first vote that you vote for on the ballot is the presidential candidate. It was my first time doing electronic, so I didn't mark the X strong enough, or I held down too long. Because then when I went back to check it, it had not recorded my presidential vote."
These are not isolated incidents. Reports of rampant vote flipping are now appearing from all over the nation:
And vote flipping is not the only problem. Vote fraud is another huge problem early in this election:
Greg Palast is reporting that in Colorado, Republican Secretaries of State have quietly purged one in six names from their voter rolls. What do you think are the odds that most of those purged voters are Democrats?
Palast is also reporting that more then 2.7 million newly registered voters have had their registrations rejected under new procedures signed into law by President Bush.
Just the other day new documents were discovered that reveal how Ohio routed 2004 voting data through a company that hosted external Bush Administration email accounts. Now isn't that a stunning coincidence or what?
Are you just going to stand by and let them do it again?
