11 Reasons Why John McCain May Feel Forced To Replace Sarah Palin

As we learn news that John McCain has sent a dozen Republican operatives and lawyers to Alaska to investigate his pick for vice president, Sarah Palin, there is increasing speculation that John McCain may feel forced to replace Palin on the Republican ticket. Below we have listed 11 reasons why McCain may be feeling a great deal of pressure:

#1) The pregnancy of Sarah Palin's teen daughter, Bristol Palin, has created huge problems for the campaign. Now, new details have emerged about the father of the child. His name is Levi Johnston, and he is 18 years old. Johnston describes himself on his MySpace page as a "f****** redneck". He also says on his MySpace page that he has a girlfriend, and that "I don’t want kids".

#2) Sarah Palin once belonged to the Alaskan Independence Party -- a fringe organization that has been pushing for a referendum on whether Alaska can secede from the United States. Palin and her husband Todd were members in 1994, and even attended the 1994 convention.

#3) Liberals have been making waves about an incident in January where Palin repeatedly laughed on air as a talk radio host described one of her political opponents (who is a cancer survivor) as a "cancer" and a "bitch".

#4) When Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla, an Alaskan town of 6,700, she employed a lobbying firm that secured almost $27 million in federal earmarked funding for such items as a youth shelter and a new rail line. This goes very much against the image that the McCain campaign wishes to portray as being against "pork barrel" spending.

#5) The media is now hammering McCain on the experience issue. After how intensely McCain has criticized Obama's lack of experience, many are now asking how McCain could have picked someone who has no background in international affairs.

#6) Sarah Palin is the first "real" pro-life candidate that the Republicans have had on a national ticket in over 20 years. Palin staunchly opposes abortion, even in cases of rape and incest. This infuriates the pro-abortion crowd and they will fight like rabid dogs to keep her from being elected.

#7) Sarah Palin racked up massive debt as the mayor of Wasilla. According to Politico, "Palin, who portrays herself as a fiscal conservative, racked up nearly $20 million in long-term debt as mayor of the tiny town of Wasilla. That amounts to $3,000 per resident. She argues that the debt was needed to fund improvements."

#8) Since 1976 all 11 vice presidential nominees of both political parties have been either members or former members of the U.S. Congress. Now here comes Palin, and she is not part of "the establishment". The establishment doesn't like outsiders, and they tend to rip apart anyone who doesn't belong.

#9) The global warming crowd hates Palin. According to the Washington Post, "Sarah Palin told voters there she wasn't sure climate change wasn't simply part of a natural warming cycle." In addition, Palin told NewsMax, "I'm not one.....who would attribute it to being man-made."

#10) Troopergate has become a huge issue for McCain and Palin. Did Sarah Palin and her staff pressure and then fire the public safety commissioner, Walter Monegan, because he did not fire Palin's ex-brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, from the state police after he threatened Palin's sister and other family members in 2005? Perhaps we will never know, but this scandal is something the McCain campaign is now wishing that they did not have to deal with.

#11) It turns out that Palin was not telling the whole truth regarding her position on the "bridge to nowhere". Apparently Palin was originally a big fan of the bridge. "She was the only candidate who was saying, 'We're going to build that bridge,'" former Alaska governor Tony Knowles, a Democrat who lost to Palin in the 2006 general election, told the Washington Post. "She's taking a position now which certainly wasn't what it was when she was campaigning."

So will John McCain replace Sarah Palin on the ticket?

Only time will tell.

  1. if John McCain wants to win he is going to have to get rid of Sarah Palin.

She is no help because she cannot campaign by herself and she is a drain because he has to continously clean up after her.

That Troopergate is getting ready to hit to fan and it will be a huge distration.

Her daughter's baby daddy does not want to get married and the whole incident makes the family seen trashy.

Her jokes about being Joe Six Pack are very unpresidential.

This courntry will never elect Joe Six Pack or a parody of Saturday Night Live to a positon that is only one heartbeat from the Presidency
