Is the Republican party establishment becoming gay friendly? Meghan McCain (the daughter of John McCain) and the man who managed McCain's presidential campaign spoke in support of gay marriage at the latest Log Cabin Republican convention.

While many considered John McCain to be a presidential candidate that was not open to gay issues, the reality is quite different. In particular, his daughter, Meghan McCain, has become something of an icon for Log Cabin Republicans.

Megan McCain has very passionately endorsed gay marriage, and she is using the visibility that she achieved during the campaign to continue to press this issue with Republican leaders.

Many are also surprised to hear that the man who managed McCain's presidential campaign, Steve Schmidt, is also openly endorsing gay marriage.

"For the party to be seen as anti-gay, that is injurious to its candidates in places like California and Washington," Schmidt said at the Log Cabin event.

Even California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who many considered to be very "conservative", is backing efforts to overturn Proposition 8. Proposition 8 banned gay marriage in California, but now many Republicans leaders such as Schwarzenegger are leading the effort to defeat it.

So is the Republican party going to embrace gay marriage any time soon?

Let's hope not, but things are certainly trending in that direction.

The Manager Of John McCain's Presidential Campaign Office In Pueblo, Colorado Has Been Arrested For Child Molestation

The man who managed Senator John McCain's presidential campaign office in Pueblo, Colorado has been arrested for child molestation.

52 year old Jeffrey Claude Bartleson has been accused of molesting the 5 year old son of a campaign worker during an overnight visit.

This is just another example of how you cannot let your kids spend the night with ANYONE in this day and time. The truth is that the number of perverts and sickos in America is rapidly increasing as the morality of the United States continues to go down the toilet.

This particular sicko apparently positioned himself so that he was always around children.

He volunteered as a Scout master and as a sponsor of the chemical-dependency unit at Pueblo's Parkview Medical Center. He was also known to regularly invite children to spend the night at his home.

At this point nobody is sure how many children this sicko molested, but it looks like it is probably a lot.

The sad thing is that there is a LOT more of this going on in the political arena than most Americans would DARE think.

It is time to wake up and face the reality that America is going down the toilet very quickly.

Barack Obama's #1 Republican Ally: John McCain

Now that the election is over, what was evident to many Americans is now becoming crystal clear - there never were major differences between Barack Obama and John McCain, and they would be working closely together no matter who was elected.

Some Americans are acting like this is a surprise. For example, NewsMax thought they would shock the internet with this headline: "McCain Now Obama's No. 1 Senate Ally", but the article was mostly met with a big yawn.

Why?

Because everyone already knows this.

Let's review some of their areas of agreement.....

#1) Foreign Policy - McCain is absolutely thrilled with Obama's cabinet appointments in this area. In addition, it only took Obama 3 days to launch his first military strike in Pakistan which is another move that McCain will undoubtedly get behind.

#2) Economic Policy - Both candidates supported that bailout, remember? In fact, both pushed their parties very hard to bail out Wall Street. To combat the current economic crisis, both candidates proposed radical, almost socialist, measures during the campaign. McCain shows no signs of opposing Obama's economic policy at all.

#3) Immigration Policy - Conservatives consider both Obama and McCain to be incredibly soft on immigration. Both have worked for the passage of a liberal immigration reform bill in the past, and both undoubtedly will in the future.

#4) Social Issues - Both candidates were "officially" against same sex marriage, but both of them have worked hard to advance the gay political agenda in the Senate. Even though McCain is supposed to be "pro-life", he ran campaign ads that highlighted his support for embryonic stem cell research, and that is an issue where he is in complete agreement with Obama.

#5) Environment - John McCain is so liberal on global warming that he could virtually be called the Republican version of Al Gore. Obama has declared that global warming will be a very important priority for his administration, and he will likely find no greater supporter among Republicans than John McCain.

The truth is that John McCain has almost worked more closely with the Democrats during his years in the Senate than he has with Republicans. There is not a single major area of Barack Obama's agenda that it looks like John McCain will oppose.

So there you go America.

One of the biggest weird news stories of the year that we did not cover was the picture of "zombie McCain" that was taken during one of the presidential debates that circulated like mad on the internet.

We don't know what made him stick his tongue out like that, but you have to admit that the picture below does not show McCain in the most flattering of poses.....

Sarah Palin Publicly Blames George W. Bush And His Administration For The Defeat In The Election

Sarah Palin is publicly blaming George W. Bush and his administration for the defeat of the McCain/Palin ticket.

And you know what?

She is right.

"It's amazing that we did as well as we did," Palin stated during an interview with the Anchorage Daily News.

"I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing," Palin said during the same interview.

It is surprising, and actually quite refreshing, to see a politician speak so candidly.

The reality is that George W. Bush was one of the worst presidents in American history, and if the Republicans are going to regain credibility with the American people, then they are going to have to admit that.

The truth is that Bush has run the economy into the ground, he has gotten the U.S. involved in endless wars and has ruined the reputation of the United States around the world, and he has made so many bad decisions that it would take months just to list them all.

Sarah Palin is also leaving the door open to a run in 2012. She had the following to say during a television interview with Fox News:

"I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door."

Palin's interview on Fox News' "On The Record" program drew a lot of attention. Palin also added this statement later on in that same interview:

"If there is an open door in 2012 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plough through that door."

John McCain Openly Refuses To Support Sarah Palin In 2012

2008 is not even over and John McCain is already betraying Sarah Palin and trying to derail her political future. John McCain is now openly declaring that he will not support his former running mate Sarah Palin if she runs for president in 2012.

When George Stephanopoulos asked John McCain on ABC's "This Week" if Sarah Palin could count on his support in 2012, he answered by saying "Oh, no" and then went on to explain how the Republicans should be looking at other governors for new leadership for the party.

It has been a really bad month for Palin.

Sarah Palin's home church was recently badly damaged by arson which caused approximately 1 million dollars in damage.

But even with all of this bad news, a recent poll of Republicans reveals that 32 percent of them support her for the Republican nomination in 2012 at this stage.

So is Sarah Palin finished?

Not by a long shot.

Now that the campaign is over we can admit the truth: John McCain is a horrific campaigner.

I mean honestly - that was one of the worst presidential campaigns by a major candidate in the modern era.

But you know what?

When McCain relaxes and starts telling jokes he is actually quite funny.

McCain is actually really, really funny in it.

Now that he has lost the election, he could actually switch careers and get into comedy if he wanted to.

If Americans Are AntiWar Why Are Our Candidates Warmongers?

Americans are overwhelmingly against the Iraq war and want our troops to be brought home. Americans are tired of war and they don't want to police the world and they don't want to put our troops into dozens of countries.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll from August 29-31 asked the following question:

"Do you favor or oppose the U.S. war in Iraq?"

The results?

Favor the war: 35%
Oppose the war: 64%
Unsure: 1%

Americans do not support this war and they want these endless wars to end.

So, that seems clear enough.

But then why are both presidential candidates and both vice-presidential candidates such total warmongers?

We already know about McCain/Palin - they want to leave troops in Iraq forever, McCain sings songs about bombing Iran, they want to do a "surge" in Afghanistan and they do not pretend to hide their intense hatred of Russia.

So Obama/Biden is the anti-war choice, right?

Wrong.

Did you see the debate last night?

Obama and Biden can't wait to commit American troops to more places.

Yes, they talk about withdrawing SOME of the troops from Iraq "eventually".....

But they also talk about sending 10,000 more troops to Afghanistan.

They openly talk about bombing and attacking Pakistan.

They talk about how war may be needed with Iran.

They talk about how they would commit American troops to Sudan.

They talk about how we should have sent troops to Lebanon.

And they openly threaten Russia every chance they get.

Anti-war?

No, Obama and Biden are warmongers just like McCain and Palin are.

When are the American people going to get sick of this nonsense and start demanding that the politicians do what they want?

The Latest Polls Show Obama Is Kicking McCain's Rear

The latest polls are out, and the news does NOT look pretty for John McCain:

The Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll for Friday shows Barack Obama with 50% of the voters behind him while John McCain has just 45%.

Electoral-Vote.com has updated the electoral map, and according to their results, Obama would get 286 electoral votes if the election was held today, and McCain would only get 252.

A new Detroit Free Press-WDIV survey shows Democrat Barack Obama leading Republican John McCain in Michigan by 13 percentage points.

That latest CNN poll has Obama at 51 nationwide and McCain at 46 percent nationwide.

In the latest FOX News Poll, Obama has reclaimed the lead over McCain 45% to 39%.

Time magazine is reporting that Obama is gaining significant ground in swing states.

So what does this all mean? It means that if the election was held today we would be congratulating President Obama. However, there are still 3 presidential debates and one vice-presidential debate to go, so things could still change.

The Financial System Is Collapsing And Neither John McCain Or Barack Obama Can Do A Thing About It

Fannie Mae has failed.

Freddie Mac has failed.

Merrill Lynch has failed.

Bear Stearns has failed.

Lehman Brothers has failed.

Lehman's collapse into bankruptcy protection is the biggest corporate debt default in the history of the world.

AIG, the largest insurance company in the United States, is failing.

Are you paying attention yet?

Alan Greenspan, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve, said over the weekend: "We will see other major firms fail."

This is not an internet rumor. It is the former chairman of the Federal Reserve saying that more major firms WILL fail.

And John McCain and Barack Obama cannot do a thing about it.

"This crisis stands out because of its sheer scale, the monetary value, its complexity and the speed with which it is happening," said Robert F. Bruner, dean of the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

So now the federal government has stepped forward to bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Problem solved? No. Did you realize that every penny spent to bail out these private corporations has to be borrowed since there is no money in the federal treasury?

So who is paying for this mess?

You.

What do you do if you are a big financial firm and you are failing?

You call "Helicopter Ben Bernanke" and he bails out your company by stealing from the American taxpayers.

The American Dream has now become the American Nightmare.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac owned or guaranteed about half of the 12 trillion dollar mortgage market in the United States.

They have collectively been responsible for more than 80% of the new mortgages being issued in 2008.

Fannie Mae reported total assets of $882.5 Billion in 2007.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two of the largest corporations in the world, and if they were countries, their gross domestic products would be bigger than most of the nations in the world.

And now Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have FAILED.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the absolute heart of the mortgage industry in the United States. If they have failed, do you think that is a good sign for the U.S. economy?

In just a few short months, the federal government of the United States will be over 10 TRILLION dollars in debt.

Will the current generation of Americans repay this debt?

No, the current generation seems determined to go even deeper in debt.

So, that means that the current generation of Americans is dumping this debt on to their children and their grandchildren and to generations beyond that.

That is inexcusable!

The truth is that America has sold their children and grandchildren into economic slavery forever.

How would you feel if you were a little child and you discovered that your parents had run up a million dollars on a credit card in your name, and now you had to make interest payments on that credit card for the rest of your life?

I imagine that you would be furious!

America's children and grandchildren will be working ALL of their lives to pay interest on this ridiculous debt. Their labor will go into serving the owners of this debt, and there is no escape.

America has had the greatest party in the history of the world and it has fueled this extravagant party on massive amounts of debt, but there is some really bad news.....

The party is coming to an end.

The reserves of America's local banks are gone. The financial institutions of the United States have borrowed an insane amount of money from the Federal Reserve this year just to stay afloat. Many have already failed. America's financial system has never experienced a crisis of this magnitude.

The biggest debt bubble in the history of the world is beginning to burst.

For decades Americans have lived like kings and queens.....enjoying the biggest party the world has ever known.....but financed with ever increasing amounts of debt.

Once upon a time, the United States was the biggest creditor in the entire world. But those days are long gone. Now America is the biggest debtor nation to ever exist on the earth.

America was the wealthiest nation in the world, but that was never enough. Americans always had to have a bigger car, a bigger house and an endless supply of "stuff". So the American government piled up debt, American companies gorged on debt, and Americans made using credit cards into a national pastime.

And if you include the future liabilities that the United States government has committed to such as future Social Security and Medicare payments, then the total debt of the federal government is over 59 TRILLION dollars.

59 TRILLION dollars!

Now that many of America's jobs have gone overseas, the price of gasoline is shooting through the roof, and tons of people are losing their homes, do we find that Americans are learning their lesson?

Not at all.

Instead Americans are squeezing everything they possibly can out of their credit cards. Total credit card debt in America is now over 790 billion dollars, and it is increasing at a rate which is four times faster than earlier this decade.

Instead of showing restraint, Americans have jammed the accelerator to the floor.

Prices are increasing dramatically while wages are not. Jobs are being shipped overseas and factories are being closed. America's largest banks and financial institutions are teetering on the brink of failure. Homes are being foreclosed at record rates. Personal bankruptcies recently hit an all time high. And what is the answer that the politicians are giving to America?

Spending even more money and getting us into even more debt.

It is time to face the truth.

The American Dream has gone "bye bye" and it isn't coming back.

And there isn't anything that John McCain or Barack Obama can do to stop it.

On orders from presidential candidate John McCain's security detail, Denver police forcibly ejected a 61 year old librarian who was waiting in line to attend a town hall meeting with John McCain that was advertised as open to the public. The police threatened her with arrest as well.

What was her crime? She was holding a sign that said "McCain=Bush":

6) On April 18, 2008, Sarah Palin gave birth to her second son, Trig Paxson Van Palin, who has Down syndrome. This will help McCain's campaign with groups that advocate for the disabled. Plus there is the sympathy factor.

7) McCain now has a chance to get social conservatives excited. Many social conservatives have been very suspicious of McCain, but Palin is strongly pro-life, a supporter of capital punishment, and belongs to Feminists for Life, and this will give social conservatives much more of a reason to come into McCain's camp.

8) In 1984, Palin was the runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant, and as much as that shouldn't count, Americans are more shallow than ever. Americans prefer good looking people, and as sad as it is, the fact that she is attractive will win votes.

9) A poll published by Hays Research on July 28, 2008 showed Palin's approval rating at 80%. She has had consistently high approval ratings in Alaska, and that is a huge difference from the Republicans in Washington.

10) Speaking of the Republicans in Washington, this choice signals even more of a move away form the Bush administration, and this can only help McCain.

McCain Never Tortured? The Top Vietnamese Officer In The Prison Where John McCain Was Held As A POW: "I Can Confirm To You That We Never Tortured Him"

Could it be possible that John McCain was never tortured by the Vietnamese?

BBC News recently conducted a great interview with Tran Trong Duyet, a retired Vietnamese military officer.

Tran Trong Duyet was the head of the infamous Hoa Lo prison which was the prison where presidential candidate John McCain claims that he was brutally beaten and tortured during five and a half years as an American POW during the Vietnam War.

What Tran Trong Duyet told BBC News directly contradicts what John McCain has told American voters.

Here are two of Duyet's shocking statements from the interview:

"But I can confirm to you that we never tortured him. We never tortured any prisoners."

"He lies to American voters in order to get their support for his presidential election."

And Duyet is not alone in these assertions. None of his fellow POWs ever saw McCain tortured, and most of them are hopping mad at him as you can see from the YouTube clip posted below:
