Obama: Government Abuses Are "State Secrets" Beyond Judicial Scrutiny

Did you all really expect that things would change under Obama?

The Obama administration continues to argue that even some of the worst government abuses are "state secrets" that are beyond the reach of judicial scrutiny. Just this last week, the Justice Department once again reiterated this argument in a court filing.

This demonstrates that Obama is not going to hold Bush and Cheney accountable.

In fact, all indications are that the Obama administration is carrying on most of the abuses that were happening under Bush.

Rather than giving us "change", Obama is giving us a lot more of the same, and we wouldn't be surprised if the governmental abuses actually get worse under Obama.
